First steps in Finland
When moving to Finland there are lots of things to take care of. To get the salary one needs a Finnish bank account. To make communication easier one needs a Finnish telephone subscription. But the most important thing is to learn how to cope with everyday life. That includes grocery shopping. What’s different to many other countries is that when buying vegetables and fruits, one has to weigh them on a scale to get the price tag for the products before going to checkout.
We want to make sure that everything goes smoothly when the new arrivals start a new chapter in their life in Finland. That’s why we are here to support the first steps. This beautiful group arrived to Finland in week 44 and together we visited for example the bank, the school and the grocery store. Here are some pictures of the vegetable and fruit weighing process!
